Pilates Cadillac Seminar READ MORE

“Where flat feet, curvature of the spine, protruding stomach, stooped-shoulders, hollow chest, hollow back, bow legs, and knocked-kneed conditions are cured through corrective exercises”

Joseph H. Pilates

“Massage table” or the “Rehabilitation table” was the precursors of the Cadillac . Then it got the name “Trapeze table” or “Table” with the addition of a metal frame, springs and trapeze bar.

According to Romana Kryzanowska, the name ‘Cadillac’ was given by a Pilates client in the 1940s. In Pilates’ time, Cadillac cars were a symbol of luxury, comfort and innovation in the US.

Cadillac

The Cadillac resembles a bed frame in the design. It is quite popular, large and comfortable, offering a wide variety of exercises for all ages and conditions. Routine can range from dynamic to therapeutic.

Cadillac combines strength exercises with springs, exercises to restore imbalances, mobility exercises, body posture and acrobatic exercises using the parallel bars.

The repertoire includes exercises performed both on the mat and on the reformer, providing the ability to adjust all exercises to the requirements and goals of each trainee.

The advanced level includes quite spectacular exercises, similar to dancers in a show.

  • It is ideal for men who want to improve their physical condition and flexibility.
  • It is suitable for the elderly who find it difficult to kneel to the ground. Nevertheless,  it is easier for the trainer to support the trainee during the execution of the exercises.
