Pilates Magic Circle Seminar READ MORE

“Civilization impairs physical fitness.”

Joseph H. Pilates

The ring, known as magic circle or ring of pilates, impresses us with the variety of exercises that refer to all muscle groups. It is considered as inexpensive equipment, can be easily transferred, and stored and therefore it is ideal for personal & group training. It can be used throughout the course or just as a part of it.

It can be used for:
-body stabilization
-muscular engagement
-body alignment
-increasing the difficulty of an exercise
-making a movement easier
-leading a movement
-coordination
-proprioception

There is a great variety of rings in the market, from light to heavier materials and perhaps more resistant.
Whatever material they are made of, they have 2 soft foam handles that can be used as hand or feet grips. Although they are flexible, trainees should not put maximum pressure on them. Attention is needed when using them, especially in exercises close to the face (possibility of injury from wrong grips).
The ring has existed since the time of J. Pilates. Their handles used to be made of wood instead of today’s soft material.
